The Job Classification Tool©  (JCT) provides organizations with a practical and efficient way to maintain their classification and compensation structure following the completion of a MAG classification and compensation study.
The tool contains the approved job class data including class codes, job titles, occupational groups, pay plans, pay grades, salary ranges, and the point factor ranking used to determine proper classification.
Job Classification Tool© allows users to review and reclassify existing job titles by adjusting the evaluation factors used to measure responsibility, experience, complexity, and other key job requirements. New job titles can also be added and evaluated within the same structured framework, ensuring consistency and internal equity across the organization.
The system evaluates positions at the class level, helping organizations maintain a clear, objective, and defensible classification structure as organizational needs evolve.
